Within Tibet, China continues to ruthlessly and systematically destroy our identity, culture and religion. Chinese cultural influences are intentionally mixed with Authentic Tibetan cultural activities in a bid to dilute everything Tibetan and sinosize Tibet. On the other hand, the Tibetan community-in-exile, is overpoweringly exposed to foreign way of life. Under such circumstances, unless a conscious, consistant and urgent effort is maintained to preserve & promote Tibetan language, religion, culture and way of life, the survival of Tibetan identity is under the real threat of extinction. Hence, this project is a bid to save the rich & lively performing cultural Art (songs, dance, opera) of Tibet by establishing this Tibetan performing Arts. Among others, its main activities will include: Research of old traditional dance, music & opera. Train and recruit young talents. Travel and perform within Tibetan community and outside.
